A desalination plant is able to create freshwater resources from a saltwater source, such as the ocean. Once it goes online, the facility is able to provide a water supply that is immune to drought, offering drinking water to an entire region. The Tampa Bay Seawater Desalination facility, located in Florida, provides up to 25 million gallons of drinking water per day to the region. The primary benefit which desalination plants provide is proven technology. Reverse osmosis is used in many desalination plants, which creates high-quality drinking water on small or large scales. Homeowners can even hook-up a reverse osmosis filter to their own plumbing system to create a better water supply. The disadvantage of desalination plants, however, is their cost. Although several factors can dramatically change the final price of construction, a 2010 report estimated that a new desalination plant in Texas would cost $658 million to achieve 100 million gallons per day of freshwater supplies. ...

What are quarks? Quarks or quarks are a type of elementary subatomic particle , which falls into the category of fermions , and whose strong interactions constitute the matter of atomic nuclei. Its name comes from the novel Finnegan’s Wake by the Irish author James Joyce. In other words, quarks are the particles from which protons and neutrons are made , as well as other types of tiny particles called hadrons. These terms can be confusing, but it is not necessary to understand them at such technical levels to know what a quark is: the tiniest particles of matter , which interact freely with the four elementary physical forces: gravitational force, electromagnetic force, strong nuclear force and weak nuclear force Together with leptons, quarks are the very bricks of matter. In the same way that matter and antimatter exist, there are also quarks and antiquarks. In addition...

A original works present : Should Wizard Hit Mommy? It was a Saturday evening. Every evening Jack told his daughter Jo a story out of his head. This custom began when she was two. Now he had been telling her bedtime stories for almost two years. His story had a central character named Roger-a small creature. It could be Roger Fish, Roger Squirrel or Roger Chipmunk. Today it was Roger Skunk. This Roger Skunk smelled so bad that none of the other woodland creatures would play with him. They called him Stinky Skunk and then they would run away. Roger Skunk would stand there all alone. Tears would fall from his eyes. Jo asked if he would not see the owl. Jack said that Roger Skunk walked along very sadly to a very big tree. There was a huge, wise, old owl on the top most pointed end of the tree. Roger Skunk told the owl that all the other animals ran away from him because he smelled very bad. The owl admitted that he did so. Roger Skunk cried very hard. He wanted to know what he could...
